“So, what’s the damage?”
The big question on everyone’s mind - “How much is this going to cost?” Having recently got married myself, I understand completely that finding suppliers you love and within your budget can be a difficult task. Can you imagine spending so much time, on such an important day, with someone who’s going to boss you around and tell you what to do? No? Me neither. That’s why I pride myself on being a genuine, decent guy (my wife may tell you otherwise, depending on when you ask her) that you won’t mind being there to capture amazing footage during the intimate moments of your big day.Pre Wedding Plans
Before the big day, I love to meet up with couples at their wedding venue. As well as checking out what the canapés are going to be like, it's a great opportunity for us to talk through the general plans for the day and also scout out some potential locations for the couple shoot. Live miles away? That’s not an issue, we can always zoom to discuss everything and I’ll use my diligent FBI detective skills to stalk any couples that may have previously got married at your venue to see what worked well (and what to avoid)!
The Big Day
On the day of your wedding, I usually arrive 2-3 hours before the ceremony starts to capture the Bridal preparations (some brides have asked us to come earlier and although we can, often it’s not worth it as they quickly realise that they’re not “camera ready” at 6am).
As previously mentioned, you’ll be spending an awful lot of time with me on your wedding day however, most of the time I’ll be blending in with your guests, eating your canapés and checking my phone to see when golden hour is so you won’t even know i’m there!
My whole approach to your day is to capture it as authentically as possible. I don’t want to be telling Nan & Grandad what to do - what ever happens in front of me, I capture it to the best of my ability. I will though, at points throughout the day, drag you to some spots around the venue to capture some slightly more posed shots of just the two of you. Don’t worry if you’re as awkward as I am in front of the camera - together we’ll get through it, I promise you.
You’ll be stuck with me from Bridal Prep all the way through to First Dance. Here you’ll find me cutting some serious shapes on the dance floor, eating more food and capturing one or two videos of course… Usually, I’ll hang around about 30-45 minutes after your first dance (this is when the dance floor is often busiest) after that, I’ll say my goodbyes and disappear into the night…
Do you know a decent Wedding Photographer?
A decent one? Nah… However, I do offer a joint package with the notoriously talented Phil Brown. Phil and myself compliment each other perfectly. Gone are the days of Videographer and Photographer competing for the best angle as Phil and I go together like Buzz and Woody (I’m Buzz obviously!). All of your wedding visual needs sorted in one booking? What’s not to love…
